Here we have compiled a few common questions we get asked.

• What is the preflight engine?

  The preflight engine we use is a Dalim TWiST preflight engine.




• Where do the ads go/reside?

  Ads reside on our secure servers until they are delivered to the recipient. After ads are delivered they may remain on our servers for a variable retention period. These ad can still be reviewed and re-used in other publications. Ad recipients can be who ever the publisher or agency wishes. Ads will automatically be delivered to the publisher's chosen location but they may also be dowloaded from the site manually.




• Do the submitters get a confirmation that the ad was sent successfully?

  Absolutely! Ad submitters are notified several times via email throughout the ad workflow.

  
  

  Ad senders can be notified when:

  • An ad has prefight warnings
  • An ad has been rejected by the publisher
  • An insertion on an ad is awaiting approval
  • Insertion information has changed and requires a re-approval
  • An ad is delivered successfully to the publisher's predefined location.



• Does the ad get checked to the publications specifications?

  Yes. We have very detailed preflight profiles, that publishers or agencies can setup to be checked against each ad coming into the system. Please see the details on our preflight reports.




• Are we getting the actual pdf file that the advertiser submits, or is your software creating a new version?

  By default we create a print-ready PDFX1A file for each ad. This insures printers and publishers have a consistent output for all files. The original file is still available for download if needed.
